The Opportunity
_Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Pursuit Specialist to join our talented Power Providers market sector in support of the Renewables Solution team._ Our ideal candidate will have leadership skills to drive proposal development and work independently or as part of a team. They will have strong writing skills, proficiency in Adobe InDesign, and a can-do attitude. They will have a keen eye for quality and ensure compliance with Black & Veatch brand standards and quality guidelines.
The Team
Black & Veatch’s Power Providers focuses on the holistic demands for energy generation markets that include utilities, independent power producers and new non-traditional entrants adding to the much-needed supply of secure, clean power to our industries and communities. By joining our market sector, you will have the opportunity to put sustainable energy solutions into practice.
Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborates on writing, editing, production, assembly, and delivery of assigned proposals and other materials required by clients.
+ Facilitates and assembles responses for EPC and Services pursuits as the opportunity progresses though the proposal life cycle, including layout and artwork in InDesign.
+ Establishes and maintains quality assurance and ensures compliance with brand standards for all deliverables.
+ Manages tasks during the development of the Request for Proposal (RFP) response, including kick-off call, reviews, and production.
+ Conceptualizes design elements and develops simple graphics that are incorporated into the response deliverables.
+ Researches and gathers proposal materials, including drafting non-technical content using reference materials or prior proposals.
+ Drives proposal progress to meet scheduled milestones and RFP requirements.
+ Leads the effort to develop the company responses for Requests for Information (RFI’s).
+ Collaborates with internal clients and client account managers to develop client presentation content.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Strong skills in creative layout using Adobe InDesign and Acrobat required; Photoshop and Illustrator experience desired.
+ Confident personality with strong interpersonal skills.
+ Experience effectively leading diverse teams and contributors in executing pursuit processes and delivering quality/winning proposals.
+ Effective written and verbal communications skills, including persuasive writing, proofreading and editing.
+ Critical thinking and creative problem solving.
+ Organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
+ Experience working in an EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) and/or project management firm and/or the energy industry.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or a related field; or equivalent experience
+ 4+ years related experience
