Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Senior to join our well-established and growing firm! This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere while playing an integral role in supporting our clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of tax compliance, planning, and research, with a focus on S Corporation and Partnership taxation.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Senior, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing the preparation of complex federal and state income tax returns for S Corporations, Partnerships, and individual clients.
2. Conducting detailed tax research and planning to optimize tax strategies and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
3. Reviewing financial statements and tax-related documents to identify tax savings opportunities and provide recommendations to clients.
4. Providing expert guidance on pass-through taxation matters and complex taxation issues.
5. Keeping updated of the latest developments in tax laws and regulations, and ensuring that this knowledge is effectively incorporated into the tax planning and compliance process.
6. Collaborating with other team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax returns and other financial documents.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the Tax Senior position must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a tax senior or similar role, preferably within a top 15 CPA firm.
2. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
3. A Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is strongly preferred.
4. Extensive experience with S Corporation and Partnership taxation.
5. Proficient in tax research and planning, with a deep understanding of complex taxation issues.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
8. Proficient in using tax software and other related IT tools.
9. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a high degree of self-motivation and discipline.
