We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Remote Tax Manager to oversee our tax compliance and planning activities. The ideal candidate will ensure that our tax strategies align with legal requirements while optimizing our tax liabilities. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and providing strategic insights into our tax practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee tax compliance and reporting for various entities including C-Corps, S-Corps, and partnerships.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advice to optimize tax positions and minimize liabilities.
- Coordinate and supervise the tax audit process, working with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with tax regulations and changes in tax legislation to ensure compliance and inform corporate tax strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decisions with tax implications.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Active CPA or EA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and public accounting, with a focus on corporate taxation.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey tax-related information.
