• Analyze policy documents, including proposals and renewal terms, to ensure accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulations.
• Apply underwriting guidelines and standards to make informed decisions regarding coverage, premium rates, and terms.
• Communicate underwriting decisions, reasoning, and requirements clearly and effectively to insurance agents, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and offering guidance to insurance agents and policyholders.

• Proven experience as an insurance underwriter, insurance broker, or in insurance sales with exposure to property and casualty, life, health, or specialty lines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
