Job Responsibilities:
- Review and manage tax returns and extensions across various entity types, focusing on high net worth individuals and/or real estate.
- Review financial statements, perform accounting entries and reconciliations, and manage client books.
- Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individuals and corporations.
- Monitor client deliverables and deadlines efficiently.
- Conduct thorough tax research and prepare detailed memos on findings.
- Handle IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and notices with confidence.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, colleagues, management, and tax authorities.
Requirements:
- CPA or EA certification.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Tax Manager in public accounting.
- Proficiency in individual tax compliance and planning; experience with gift, estate, and trust returns is a plus.
- Strong tax research skills (RIA) and familiarity with partnership tax are advantageous.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, forward-thinking approach.
- Ability and willingness to mentor and develop staff.
