Hampton Ridge Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled and tech-savvy Remote Healthcare IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role will provide essential IT support to healthcare staff, ensuring the smooth operation of systems, software, and hardware used in patient care and administration. As a remote specialist, you will troubleshoot technical issues, manage IT systems, and assist in maintaining the integrity of our healthcare technology infrastructure, all while adhering to healthcare industry regulations like HIPAA.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide remote IT support to healthcare staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Maintain and manage electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring optimal performance and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of healthcare software, databases, and other related systems.
• Resolve technical issues related to telemedicine platforms, patient portals, and other healthcare applications.
• Respond to technical support requests in a timely manner and ensure minimal disruption to healthcare services.
• Monitor network and system performance, identify potential issues, and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to understand their IT needs and provide user-friendly solutions.
• Provide training and support to staff on new technology systems, ensuring all users are comfortable and compliant with protocols.
• Maintain proper documentation of all IT processes, configurations, and support interactions.
• Stay up to date on healthcare IT regulations, security protocols, and best practices to ensure all systems remain compliant and secure.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of healthcare systems and applications such as EHRs, telemedicine platforms, and patient portals.
• Strong understanding of healthcare IT regulations, including HIPAA, and experience managing sensitive data securely.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and macOS systems, as well as software and network-related issues.
• Experience with system administration, including managing servers, networks, and cloud-based solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing time and priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills to provide clear technical support and training to non-technical healthcare staff.
• A high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or other IT-related certifications.
• Experience with EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms.
