Remote Healthcare Intake Specialist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $18.24 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Remote Healthcare Intake Specialist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm for training. Shift will be determined after training

Remote Healthcare Intake Specialist Responsibilities

• Takes in-bound calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process
• Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all requests, and transfers all clinical questions and judgement calls to the nurse or pharmacist
• Assist with other duties such as outbound calls, monitoring/responding to inquiries in mailboxes and other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Remote Healthcare Intake Specialist Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• Prior authorization experience / knowledge, data entry, customer service, good written and verbal skills needed, good phone manner, ability to sit for long periods of time
• Basic experience in MSWord and MS Excel
• Familiar with medical terminology and knowledge of medical coding
• Ability to read and interpret billing documents
