Remote Temp F/T CPhT Certified Pharmacy Tech With PBM Prior Authorization Exp.
Our client, a busy Taft-Hartley Health & Welfare Fund has an immediate staffing need for a remote, experienced CPhT Certified Pharmacy Prior Authorization Technician with recent Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) experience. Experience with any of the following software PAHub, RxClaim Pro, or Five9 is a plus. Must work in IL, IN, WI, or TX.

The ideal candidate is someone who has at least 2 years of recent pharmaceutical prior-authorization work experience working within a Pharmacy Benefit Management work environment such as CVS/CareMark, OptumRx, and Catamaran. You must have an active Pharmacy Technician License or a valid Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
During your 2 weeks of training, you will be working Monday-Friday (9:00am to 5:00pm). After training you will be working flexible hours between the hours of (7:00am to 7:00pm) for a total of 7.5 hours per day and a total of 37.5 paid hours per week.
Job Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for handling phone calls and faxes from both members and providers utilizing the Five9 software and a headset and assisting them with obtaining pharmaceutical prior authorizations with complete computer documentation.
- In this position you will be making a high volume of outgoing calls per day.
- Promptly resolving escalated pharmacy benefit issues and customer service calls.
- In this position you will be required to filter and sort files in Excel.
- You must be familiar with resolving third-party and pharmaceutical claim rejections.
Job Requirements
- 2 years of working knowledge and experience as a CPhT Pharmacy Technician working in a Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) environment.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
- 2 years of experience with working knowledge and experience in prior authorization within a pharmacy benefit manager is required.
- 2 years of experience working knowledge and experience with third-party medical/prescription payments or third-party rejections and resolving rejected claims experience.
- Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiency.
- Intermediate Excel proficiency in sorting and filtering files is essential.
- Experience with any of the following software PAHub, RxClaim Pro, or Five9 is a plus.
