EDGE estimator - based in Ohio, primarily remote role - occasional office visits required

The Commercial Roofing Estimator will provide estimating services and oversee activities for large-scale roofing projects. Your duties may include gathering drawings and specifications, attending meetings, reviewing historical data, conducting roof surveys, making labor and material calculations, tracking contracts, preparing bid packages, and providing technical support throughout the project.

Responsibilities of the

Commercial Roofing Estimator include

• Attend all pre-bid meetings required for projects assigned
• Analyze and comprehend project manuals, specifications, plans, addendums, and other project bid documents
• Prepare accurate takeoffs, estimates, and bill of materials based upon project bid documents.
• Conduct reviews of estimates with project management team and President for final approval
• Prepare bids, proposals, and quotations based upon estimates
• Maintain records in Company CRM database of Customers, Contacts, Project, and Communications.
• Experience working with CRM software is a plus.
• Prepare project records upon receipt of contract including bill of materials, scope of work, budget for accounting entry, summary of quotes, etc.
• Prepare and deliver submittal documents as required by the project
• Prepare value engineering alternatives in consultation with President and project management team.
• Assist project management team in preparation and delivery of project change orders as necessary
• Deliver and present proposals to prospects and customers in a timely manner.

Skills/Qualifications of the

Commercial Roofing Estimator

• Bachelor’s or associate degree with a focus in Business, Sales, Communications, Marketing, or Construction is preferred
• Develop and maintain strong client and vendor relationships
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent written & oral communication, including listening
• Ability to be a team player and work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to adapt to change and unforeseen issues, while maintaining professionalism
• Working with authorities that have jurisdictions (building permits)
• Desire and interest in a challenging and rewarding career in the construction industry with a growing company.

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must be able to safely climb ladders and work at heights (fall protection and safety equipment provided)

Must be able to lift 40 pounds
