(Remote) Business Development Manager - Semiconductor
(Semiconductor cleanroom machines fire safety division - Western Region North America)
The right candidate should be able to manage relationships with customers, serving as the key point of contact, from initial lead outreach to when a purchase is ultimately made. You will ensure that the customer is satisfied and has a positive experience during all stages of sales, service, and support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Increase business/market share by maintaining existing customer base, sourcing new customers, and representing the organization with the utmost proficiency, knowledge, and dependability.
- Manage relationships with customers, serving as the key point of contact.
- Manage customer satisfaction concerns and work to ensure an effective and mutually beneficial resolution is achieved.
- Effectively demonstrate products, services, and expertise to existing and new customers.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Collect VOC on new and existing products and customer needs and relay this information and suggestions for gaining a competitive advantage to appropriate team. Voice of the customer, or VoC, is the research and analytics that capture customers' needs, wants, expectations, preferences, and dislikes. It can also refer to feedback in the form of customer needs, requests, and pain points. VoC's roots lie in product management.
- Control sales expenses through effective planning and necessary travel.
- Participate in industry events such as trade shows and other events for the purpose of promoting products and services.
- Develop and maintain an ongoing forecast.
- Remain abreast of competitor information including product offerings, marketing trends, etc., and relay this information and suggestions to marketing.
- Deliver product presentations and facilitate the introduction of and conversion to new products.
- Driving within territory to visit customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree preferred.
- Applicants with expertise and experience with SEMI, NFPA, IFC, FM codes and standards applicable to semiconductor manufacturing are a plus.
- Superior communication skills, leadership, and relationship development.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work non-standard hours.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
- Prefer knowledge and experience selling and marketing products to the semiconductor industry.
- Continuously improve and have an active product knowledge.
- International Travel.
- Participate in a culture of continuous improvement.
- Engage in improving tools used to perform daily activities.
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of current certification codes applicable to fire life safety equipment
- Excellent computer skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Potential for local and international travel.
- Able to lift 40 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Primarily home and/or local office.
- Semiconductor facilities and tool OEMs.
- University and commercial/private laboratories.
- English is the principal language.
