Responsibilities :
Data Management Analysts support Sr. Data Management Analysts, Data Management Consultants, and work directly with data governance stakeholders, business leaders, subject matter experts, and other technology professionals to create and execute on data risk reduction or value improvement propositions. The scope of this work involves one or more of the following data management disciplines: reference data management, data protection, data stewardship, master data management, data platform management, data strategy or data enablement and capabilities. Applies data protection or business value requirements to design, document and recommend possible data management and governance solutions. Participates in the creation of business specifications and contributes to system specifications aligned with business requirement and needs. Provides input into data management and governance project plans. Prepares, maintains and contributes to data management and governance deliverables and artifacts, including flow charts, conceptual models, policies, procedures, standards, desktop procedures, guides, glossaries, code sets, metrics, scorecards and reporting to assist with the ongoing operation and maintenance of data management and governance solutions. Reviews data loss prevention (DLP) applications and exceptions in accordance with Company's policies, standards, and SOPs. Assigned to basic to mid complexity projects, systems or initiatives related to ongoing organization data management and governance needs. Data Management Analysts assist in efforts, assist in work results, provide meeting facilitation and training, and serve as data advocates for other business, technical and analytic resources.

- Participates in and provides consultation during the review of system requirements and functional design solutions for data assets, functionality and enhancements to existing data assets and functionalities (40%).
- Contributes to data management products and artifacts as part of operational- or project-based tasks, and ensures necessary design considerations are made in alignment with documented requirements (10%)
- Contributes to the operational- or project-based analysis and documentation of data-related assets, sources, business, and technical requirements; assists in identifies impacted areas/systems/technical and business processes; and assists in evaluating solutions and best practices.
- Reviews Data Governance applications and executes on appropriate activities.
- Contributes to final review of design specifications to ensure business stakeholder/end user/data consumer needs are met.
- Researches and assists in developing approaches for identifying and resolving system or data-related problems.
- Participates in efforts to identify and evaluate alternative solutions.
- Performs analysis for mid to high complex projects, systems, or initiatives.
- Works with technical staff to ensure system components and functional flow of / between components is compliant with documented requirements.
- Assists in executing tests or validations for various system components and data transformations / migrations.
- Build relationships to establish the ability to influences business/IT/analytics stakeholders by recommending decisions and solutions built on approved requirements, value propositions, and business case roadmaps.
- Participates and escalates to ensure adherence to practices, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Data management, data governance, data quality improvement, business process engineering, data analytics, data-focused business or systems analysis, application development, data architecture or comparable role.
- No supervisory/management experience required.
- Intermediate understanding of applying compliance / legal methodology to business solutions.
- Intermediate Knowledge of systems development concepts and methods.
- Intermediate Experience with compliance /legal requirements and business process analysis to ensure solutions meet the business needs.
- Experience with MS Suite products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate Experience writing database queries in languages like SQL or similar.
- Experience managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and articulate concepts around data governance methodology.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships.

- Ability to work in a remote environment and maintain a high degree of self-management under tight timelines.

- Experience using Agile methodologies (like SAFe).
- Experience using Agile project management applications (like Broadcom Rally).

- Experience interacting with data systems (like Oracle, SQL Server, IBM DB2, or Hadoop/HBase).
- Experience writing database queries in languages like SQL or SAS.
