Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Remote Accounts Payable Contractor, you will be responsible for a multitude of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Processing high volume and complex purchase orders and expense reports on a regular basis.
2. Reconciling credit card statements and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
3. Managing vendor accounts, including setting up new vendors in the system, maintaining vendor files, and resolving any vendor-related issues.
4. Preparing month-end reports and assisting with month-end closing procedures.
5. Issuing vendor applications and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
6. Making entries into the General Ledger (GL) and ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
7. Utilizing Deltek Time and Expense and Deltek Costpoint systems for various accounting tasks.
8. Collaborating with other team members to improve and streamline accounts payable processes.
9. Ensuring all accounts payable activities are in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, with at least 2 years of experience specifically in the government contracting
2. Proficiency in using Deltek Time and Expense and Deltek Costpoint or equivalent systems.
3. Experience with high-volume and complex purchase order processing.
4. Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and best practices.
5. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve vendor-related issues efficiently.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
11. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
