Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Remote (Must reside in the Eastern Standard Timezone to be considered)
Salary: $80,000 - $88,000 per year

Company Overview:
NOW CFO is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with Business Central, and candidates without this experience are not encouraged to apply. This is a 100% remote position, but candidates must reside within the Eastern Standard Timezone. Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes.
• Month-End/Year-End Close: Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Sales Tax Reporting: Oversee all sales tax reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, managing invoices and payments.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial data.
• Payroll Management: Prepare and manage payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support budgeting processes and cash flow forecasting activities.
• Reconciliations: Manage reconciliations for bank accounts and credit card statements.
• Financial Reporting: Produce and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Accounting Policies: Implement and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Audits: Coordinate and complete annual audits as required.
• Staff Management: Assign projects and direct accounting staff to ensure compliance and accuracy in their work.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-2 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or a Senior Accountant
• Experience with Business Central
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience with inventory management, preferably in the e-commerce sector
• Previous management experience with a track record of growth in accounting roles

Nice-to-Have:

• Power BI experience
• Experience working with ADP
• QuickBooks Online proficiency
• Hands-on experience with payroll management
• Strong critical thinking skills, accountability, and independence as a remote worker
• Able to handle high-pressure situations
