Relief Small Group Production Supervisor (DSP) - Flexible Leadership for a Dynamic Role
At MV Advancements, we specialize in empowering adults with developmental disabilities to grow and succeed in the workplace. We're searching for a Relief Small Group Production Supervisor to step in when our regular Small Group Production Supervisors are unavailable, providing steady leadership and ensuring production goals are met across a variety of work sites. If you're adaptable, resourceful, and passionate about helping others succeed, this role is the perfect fit for you.
Your Role
As a Relief Small Group Production Supervisor, you'll bring reliability and consistency to our teams. You'll step into supervisory roles across multiple worksites, from overseeing crew operations at Bailey Nursery and managing assembly production at A-Dec to coordinating recycling processing at Western Oregon University (WOU). Each day will bring new challenges as you supervise crews, maintain productivity, and ensure quality standards are met.
In this role, you'll:
- Provide hands-on leadership to small groups of supported employees who experience intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD), guiding them through their work tasks and fostering skill development.
- Coordinate work assignments and ensure that projects meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations for quality and efficiency.
- Be the go-to person for addressing issues when the regular supervisor is absent, resolving problems, and maintaining smooth workflows, regardless of the work site.
- Work with business partners to ensure safety protocols are upheld, equipment is properly operating, and worksites are safe for all employees.
- Serve as a role model, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and positive work habits to inspire and guide your team.
A Dynamic Environment
This isn't a desk job. You'll need to adapt to a variety of environments, including outdoor plant nursery spaces, manufacturing floors, and indoor/outdoor recycling facilities. No two days will be alike, making this a perfect opportunity for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys problem-solving and hands-on work.
