Reliability Tech D - C Shift Twisting

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking to hire a Reliability Tech D who will play an important role in the manufacture and distribution of a variety of flooring solutions for our residential and commercial customers. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, interested in learning various skills, and who enjoy problem solving. 

We are currently looking to fill C Shift, 7pm-7am opening. Twisting Maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

1. Understands the basics of equipment operations to support familiarization of Twisting department.

2. Execute routine, defined inspections or setups such as those activities for:

● Safety & Environmental inspection and reporting

● Collection and recording of key operational data such as ends down and strobe checks.

● Repetitive parts changes, including those requiring precision measurement and part quality checks

3. Complete these duties as part of normal job task:

● Job-site preparation and cleanup

● Collection, delivery, and return of parts and tools

Qualifications  

● Safety practices - LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, PIT, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging and Hot Work

● Calculator and Computer application – work order documentation, parts requisitioning

● Measurement units

● Basic math skills to include

o Arithmetic

o Conversion of measurement units

● Basic understanding of tools and their proper uses

● Precision alignment techniques for indirect coupled elements

● Power transmission component types, terms, operation, and maintenance

● Novice troubleshooting of mechanical systems (Basic Troubleshooting of those components technician is assigned to.)
