We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Permanent Reliability/Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and equipment, maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability. The ideal candidate would be a problem solver with a strong mechanical aptitude, able to analyze and improve systems to optimize performance and reliability. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent troubleshooting skills, and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide engineering support for the manufacturing process, ensuring equipment is reliable and efficient.
2. Implement and manage a robust preventive and predictive maintenance program, including routine inspections and maintenance tasks.
3. Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and develop effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations, including API, ANSI, ASME, OSHA, and PSM.
5. Manage capital projects, including defining the scope of work, overseeing execution, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
6. Continuously monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, anticipate potential issues, and develop strategies for improvement.
7. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of engineering strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
3. Demonstrated proficiency with mechanical, API, ANSI, ASME, OSHA, PSM, root cause, inspection, capital project, performance, and scope of work.
4. Proven track record of managing capital projects and improving equipment reliability.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and preventive measures.
6. Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
8. Strong commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
9. Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
10. Proficient in the use of computerized maintenance management systems and other relevant software tools.
