As a Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, and implementing the Reliability Program and Reliability Based Maintenance initiatives within the Maintenance department. You'll integrate Lean Sigma improvement methodologies and activities within the department and will serve as a generator and coordinator of ideas for improvement techniques, implementation strategies and predictive technologies. You will ensure that timely and effective results of the process improvements are accomplished. In addition, you will provide daily support for maintenance troubleshooting and product quality, along with the coordination of the resources required to plan, train, and implement reliability improvements.

What you'll do:
- Site wide responsibilities including Wire Drawers, Stranders, CVs Jacketing Lines, Facility, site services and mobile equipment.
- Analyze plant downtime, quality, and financial data (KPIs) to identify areas of focus for the maintenance team.
- Conduct and coordinate failure investigations, including analyzing failure mechanisms and implementing solutions to improve reliability, quality, safety, and financial overall ownership of the Machinery FMEA.
- Work with Engineering team to redesign machinery and / or processes to improve plant equipment reliability and lower operating costs.
- Implement best practices for lubrication, handling, application, and storage of lubricants along with the oil analysis program.
- Direct oversight of the preventative and predictive maintenance programs which include vibration analysis, thermography, infrared, oil analysis, precision alignment, ultrasonics and others to improve the plant's maintenance reliability program.
- Gathers and examines basic reliability data from field studies or databases and correlates the data for analysis using well-defined engineering techniques, principles, and procedures
- Gathers and examines basic maintainability problem data from field studies or databases and merges data into well-defined repair techniques, principles, and procedures.
- Utilize the plant's computerized maintenance system, DataStream to manage all maintenance activities within the scope of this position.
- Assist in the planning and execution of maintenance activities as required.
- Identify other opportunities across the site to improve efficiency, lower cost, and reduce waste.
- Direct supervision of the Maintenance Reliability Technician and report directly to the Maintenance Director.
Requirements:
- Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar Engineering Degree is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant Experience will be taken into consideration.
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience
- Experience in process driven, continuous operations.
- Relevant experience with industrial manufacturing equipment and / or trades experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with motors, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and extruder equipment.
- Ability to commute/relocate to Scottsville, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing implementation, Green Belt or higher is preferred.
- Familiarity with Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Oil Analysis and Ultrasound. Level 1 certifications are preferred.
- Computer proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, DataStream. SAP knowledge is a plus.
