DUTIES
- Own and lead integrated circuit product reliability and qualification plan and risk assessments from the initial concept phase through mass production; provide technical leadership within global integrated circuit reliability engineering team; support cross-functional integrated circuit product teams to ensure that products are effectively stress tested through our qualification process; collaborate with wafer fab technology teams to understand and evaluate silicon reliability with a particular focus on company-specific IP; work with assembly and packaging teams to evaluate new packaging techniques and component and board level reliability stress testing; work with internal and external technical groups to develop new capability and reliability methodologies; support the customer quality engineering team to engage customers and ensure that the reliability and quality of the integrated circuit product meets both internal and external standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Physics or a closely related field plus three years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science in one of the foregoing fields plus five years of relevant experience is acceptable. In either case, experience must include three years of hands-on experience in semiconductor reliability engineering. In all cases, the position also requires the ability to use data-driven approaches to resolve semiconductor quality and reliability issues; the ability to model semiconductor reliability failure mechanisms (Weibull modeling, Arrhenius modeling) and the analytical skills associated with same; and knowledge of semiconductor process/construction sufficient to determine root cause of reliability failures.
