The Reliability Engineer is responsible for assessing the risks and reliability correlated with heavy equipment and other operational assets vital to the success of heavy equipment operations. The Reliability Engineer consistently engages proven methodology to perform probability assessments intending to optimize performance, reduce downtime costs and drive effective asset lifecycle management in a manner that reflect the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team”.
Pay Rate: $67,873.44 - $93,328.89 Annually
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.
Essential Functions:

- Review, investigate, and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Reliability Engineering projects
- Coordinate project activities with Operations and Maintenance departments to improve equipment maintenance availability and other KPIs
- Lead and conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Identify and implement proactive maintenance processes and procedures
- Create and assess equipment Key Performance Indicators and Metrics
- Serve as technical liaison for Dealership and customers
- Using Continuous Improvement techniques, develop comprehensive lifecycle asset management strategies
- All other duties as assigned by Manager.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Reliability, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical)
- 1 – 2 years of relevant experience
- Heavy Equipment and Mining Operations Experience Preferred
- Basic understanding of the Caterpillar equipment lines
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Intermediate knowledge of Service Link
- Intermediate knowledge of SIS Web
- Advanced knowledge of DBS
Physical Demands & Competencies:
- Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
- Squatting/Kneeling
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, etc.
- Medium work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 32 pounds or more
