Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 per year
Position Summary:
A leading financial services client is seeking a skilled Release Manager to oversee software development cycles and manage releases across various environments. The role involves coordinating with development and QA teams, managing backlogs, and ensuring SDLC standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence 3-4 days per week in either Miami, FL, or Toronto, ON.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environment Management: Maintain and manage environments for development, testing, and production.
- Release Coordination: Oversee release scheduling, prioritizing backlog enhancements based on developer capacity, priority, and resource allocation.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure SDLC guidelines are strictly followed as releases progress through development, testing, UAT, and production stages.
- Production Support: Act as an escalation point for production issues and manage the transition of new functionality to the application support team.
- Documentation & Communication: Create release notes, schedule resources, communicate timelines, and coordinate with business testers for successful production releases.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for applications and APIs, providing support and guidance across teams.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in release management or a related role, with experience in software development cycles.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in query writing, troubleshooting, and working with stored procedures; familiarity with data mapping and analysis.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise across teams and stakeholders.
