Source,Evaluate, and recommend for approval C&I loans. Actively manage a C&I loan portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiate and develop relationships with Middle Market C&I customers; actively manage loan requests from application stage to funding.
- Analyze applicant financial status, credit strength, and supporting evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans
- Originate and close new loans to existing customers and prospects with revenues ranging from $5MM-75MM and aggregate lending needs ranging from $1MM to $10MM consistent with the Bank’s loan policies and state and federal regulations
- Present new loan requests and other reports as necessary (i.e.: CARs, Loan Review Responses) to the appropriate approval authorities within the Bank
- Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet clients’ needs
- Work with clients to identify their financial goals and to find ways of reaching those goals
- Confer with team leader to aid in resolving commercial loan application problems as necessary
- Manage and grow a significant existing commercial loan portfolio.
- Cross-sell other bank products including: deposit products and cash management achieving ambitious goals.
- Respond to customer and prospect inquiries
- Coordinate ancillary banking needs (to commercial customers or their end-users) to the appropriate Needham Bank representative
- Assist in the collection/work out activities with troubled/non-performing assets
- Represent the Bank at various community functions
- Participate on Bank task forces and committees as assigned
- Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned

Required Experience:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending practices and related areas
- Knowledge of department support structures, resources and personnel
- Good sales, organizational, communication and public relations skills particularly in working with documentation that requires special handling
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of credit and lending policies and procedures
- Ability to build strong relationships and alliances across the organization, ability to adapt to change, ability to multi-task, reliable and highly self-motivated
- Superior customer service skills, exceed customers’ expectations
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related area
- Two+ years of portfolio management experience.
- Educated in banking federal and state regulations and laws
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
