What is the Senior Accountant- Reinsurance Responsibilities?

• Conduct monthly and quarterly cessions of reinsurance treaties, ensuring accurate accounting for all reinsurance transactions.
• Analyze and reconcile reinsurance-related accounts to support the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare and input reinsurance journal entries and process payments using Workday.
• Manage monthly and quarterly billing activities for brokers and reinsurers.
• Support the preparation of GAAP and statutory financial schedules.
• Participate in the implementation and integration of a reinsurance system.
• Perform additional tasks as required to meet business needs.

What are the requirements of this Senior Accountant-Reinsurance?

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of reinsurance experience OR coming from public accounting managing audits in the insurance industry
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
