Job Summary and Qualifications
This position is responsible for providing support to the pharmacy operations team, including but not limited to assessing & developing GPO-level mitigations plans to address drug shortages, evaluating compounding manufacturers, and assessing the regulatory environment that impacts the pharmacy business.
What you will do in this role includes:
Leadership:
- Provides leadership in the area of drug shortages to support the GPO’s efforts in mitigating risk for the membership
- Provide subject matter expertise around USP, cGMP, and ICH in order to assess compounding pharmacy performance
- Assess and provide leadership in the area of government regulatory impact to the pharmacy business
Pharmacy Operations:
- Track drug shortages, assess potential impact, and develop mitigation strategies
- Assist in the management of the pharmacy operations portfolio, including compounding vendors, pharmacy software, and vendor expansion
- Assist in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections for contracted compounding vendor partners along with potential vendors under consideration.
- Develop materials for presentation during the Pharmacy Operations Advisory Board meetings and assist in the boards facilitation
- Provide additional support to pharmacy operations team as need
- Support the audit team as needed and when related to job duties
Project Management:
- Directs multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment that includes:
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, implement, and execute
- The ability to focus and execute exceptional time management
- Demonstrates the ability to develop a project plan for major and complex projects
General Knowledge/Competencies:
- Must have general and broad knowledge of concepts related to pharmacy analytics to create various reports
- Provides effective communication which includes verbal, listening, writing, and presentation skills to a variety of stakeholders from executives to staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary, matrix reporting team as a group leader, facilitator, or participant
- Demonstrates a track record of success
- Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills which includes understanding issues, able to simply and process complex issues, understanding the difference between critical details and unimportant facts.
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and mission and value statement.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors Degree Required
- 3+ years’ of pharmacy technician experience Required
- Experience with a multi-facility/IDN is also preferred Preferred
- Previous experience in supply chain, value analysis, purchased services and/or sourcing that includes pharmacy service line knowledge and experience Preferred
- Pharmacy Technician Cert Board Preferred
