About the Job
OnScent is seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager to ensure our products meet the highest standards of compliance and safety. Based in our Norwood, New Jersey location, this role is critical in driving proactive engagement with regulatory, governmental, and industry agencies to keep OnScent at the forefront of industry regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to navigate complex regulatory standards, deliver strategic guidance, and ensure the successful development and launch of safe, compliant fragrance formulations and cosmetic ingredients for our customers.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay ahead of regulations and proactively engage and communicate global regulatory requirements for fragrance ingredients, cosmetics, sustainability, labelling and safety.
- Communicate regulatory updates and their implications to internal teams and customers clearly and effectively.
- Drive Compliance, develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance, support product registrations, and provide customers with high-quality guidance.
- Collaborate across teams by partnering with suppliers, marketing, R&D, and quality teams to ensure regulatory considerations are integrated into product development, labelling, and claims.
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain necessary documentation and information on raw materials.
- Manage documentation and oversee regulatory files, submissions, and audits to maintain compliance with global and regional standards.
- Educate and Innovate by conducting training sessions, providing strategic regulatory insights, and staying ahead of trends to enhance compliance practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 5-10 years in fragrance or cosmetic regulatory compliance; quality control experience is a plus.
- Must have expertise and in-depth knowledge of fragrance and cosmetics regulatory standards, with a proven ability to analyze complex regulatory landscapes and deliver actionable insights.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Highly detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams.
