Job Details
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement effective compliance programs and procedures to ensure our engineering operations comply with all applicable regulations and standards (e.g., ITAR/EAR, FCC, NOAA).
2. Conduct regular internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
3. Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
4. Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures.
5. Collaborate with corporate attorneys to manage potential compliance issues effectively.
6. Monitor compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness, promptly addressing any issues.
7. Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
8. Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
9. Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance within the organization.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree will be considered an advantage.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of ITAR Compliance and Aerospace regulations.
4. Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
5. A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
6. Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
7. An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data effectively.
9. High level of professionalism and integrity, handling sensitive information with discretion.
10. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with industry-specific software and platforms.
