Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Specialist 10883
Location: Stamford, CT (Onsite)
Shift: M-F, 8am - 5 pm
Type: Contract 1 year
Pay: $30-32.50/hour
Must Haves:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, Biology, Computer Science, etc.).
• 2-3 years of experience in regulatory affairs, specifically in SDS authoring, GHS classifications, or related compliance work within the consumer products industry.
• Proficiency in SAP systems for data management and report generating.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong understanding of GHS regulations and other relevant compliance standards within the North America and globally.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Regulatory Affairs or a related field.
• Certification in Regulatory Affairs (RAC) or similar accreditation.
• Familiarity with international regulatory requirements for consumer products.
Responsibilities:
• Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Authoring: Lead the creation and maintenance of accurate and compliant safety data sheets for consumer products, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards (GHS, OSHA, etc.) and industry best practices.
• GHS Classification: Conduct GHS hazard assessments and classifications for chemical substances and mixtures used in consumer products. Ensure proper labeling and documentation of hazards according to GHS guidelines.
• Data Management: Manage and maintain databases related to SDS authoring, GHS classifications, and regulatory compliance. Develop and implement robust data management systems to track changes and updates in regulations.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Development, R&D, Quality Assurance, and Legal to ensure accurate and timely completion of SDS authoring and GHS classification projects.
• SAP Expertise: Utilize SAP systems proficiently for data entry, analysis, and reporting related to regulatory compliance. Provide support and guidance to streamline processes within SAP for SDS authoring and GHS classification.
• Independent Project Management: Independently manage projects related to SDS authoring and GHS classification, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Training and Support: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate internal stakeholders on SDS authoring procedures, GHS classifications, and compliance requirements. Provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
