NPVMC will provide the most up to date medical campus in Southeastern Wyoming. In addition to a 24-hour emergency room, NPVMC will offer advanced imaging including ultrasound, X-Ray, digital mammography, CT, Dexa Scan, and mobile MRI capabilities. The CAH features an inpatient pharmacy, laboratory services, and physical/occupational therapy. Staffed with both full time physician and mid-level providers, the hospital will provide a healthcare solution that services the community and offers convenience to medical services.

The ED Registration Clerk will be responsible for operating the phone system and giving directions to patients, visitors, guests, and sales representatives.  Admitting patients, obtains necessary information, and signatures, and completes admission forms.  Assists with all business office duties as assigned by Supervisor. 

We are hiring for 1 part- time candidate for this position. This is a 20 hour a week part time role. The ED Registration Clerk would need to cover two ten hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday. There are opportunities to cross train into other departments if you are looking for Full Time. 

Pay Range $14.00-$18.48 depending on experience.

Essential Job Functions

1. Operates telephone and paging system.
2. Receives incoming calls.  Ascertains nature of call and relays to proper location within facility.
3. Maintains current list of patients by name and room number, list of emergency telephone numbers, and list of department extensions and names of key personnel.
4. Receives, screens, and gives directions to patients, visitors, guests and sales representatives.
5. Interviews patients and completes admitting information on various required forms.  Obtains patient’s signature or that of responsible party on all required authorizations, permits and releases.
6. Does miscellaneous typing, filing, and copying.

Required Qualifications

1. Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Work Experience One year experience as secretary/receptionist in a healthcare facility, preferred, but not required.
3. Freedom from drugs and effects of the use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
4. Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care-related setting, or who have been found guilty of embezzlement, are ineligible for employment in this position.
