Job Summary and Qualifications

About this unit:

Surgical Specialty Unit (SSU) is a 20 bed unit that that takes medical surgical and telemetry monitored patients; primarily with bariatric, colorectal general surgical diagnoses. Menorah is a Colorectal and Bariatric Center of Excellence. This unit is culture driven and strives to provide exceptional patient care and a teamwork atmosphere. At MMC we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, safe, and quality care, while instilling a nursing culture where teamwork, recognition, decision-making, and driving outcomes start at the bedside. Menorah is recognized by the ANCC as a Pathway to Excellence Designated facility which represents a positive work environment where nurses can flourish. Our shared leadership structure creates a vision for the culture and strives to instill that vision in the nurses at the bedside. Each department has a designated clinical nurse educator with many options for career mapping and growth!

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
