Registered Nurse RN - Internal Float Pool - Ascension

We Are Hiring:

• Department: Centralized Clinical Resource Team (CCRT)
• Schedule: Registry IV, day shifts 7am-7pm

Section 10.4 In House Registry Nurse IV (Centralized Clinical Resource Team Based)

In House Registry IV nurses are bargaining unit nurses who report to the Centralized Clinical Resource Team manager or other designated manager, with the following commitment:

1) The nurse shall agree to work, when needed, a minimum of nine (9) posted shifts per scheduling period;

2) The nurse will work, when needed, three weekend shifts per scheduling period as determined by the Medical Center;

3) The nurse will work two tracked holidays as selected by the Medical Center;

4) The nurse will be competent to work and shall work among: a. Med/Surg Telemetry, or Critical Care Services, or  Emergency   Services, or Maternal Child Services

• Location: Joliet, IL 

What You Will Do:

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Nurses hired after May 23, 2014, who have a diploma or an associates’ degree in nursing will be required to be accepted into a BSN program within six (6) months of the nurse’s hire date. The nurse will be required to complete a BSN program within three (3) years of his/her hire date.

Work Experience:

• Two to four years of clinical nurse experience preferred.

Additional Preferences:

• 2yr acute hospital experience
• ACLS
