Registered Nurse RN - Endoscopy - Ascension

We Are Hiring:

• Sign-on bonus:  up to $15,000.00
• Department:  Endoscopy 
• Schedule:  Full Time, Day, M-F, 6:30 a.m. - 1700 p.m., rotating weekends and holidays; on call and late coverage required 
• Hospital:  Ascension, St. Alexius 
• Location:  Hoffman Estates, IL 

What You Will Do:

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job
  transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
  hire.

Additional Preferences:

• Prefer 1 year RN - GI, ICU, or ER experience or 6 months ENDO experience 
• Cerner EMR knowledge helpful
