About The East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center

East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center is the region’s preferred facility for cardiovascular care. The six-story tower houses clinical space, diagnostic services and cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid operating room. It features 120 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.

Position Summary

• The Staff Nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide clinical care and supervise department partnerships to achieve positive patient outcomes. 
• The Staff Nurse demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span.
• The Staff Nurse possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and can interpret the appropriate information required to identify needs of the patient relative to his/her age and condition.

Minimum Requirements

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Current license as a RN in the state of North Carolina.
• Demonstrates competencies in nursing practice.
• Basic computer skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
   

Other Information

• Location/Department: East Carolina Heart Institute - CVS Cardiology (Greenville, NC) 
• This position is full-time (40hr/week) - 8:00am - 5:00pm M- F
• No nights, weekends or call
