- Ratios: Varies per Acuity. Ratios are 1:4 for surgical step down, and 1:5-6 for lower acuity
- Shift: NIGHT 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours. 13-26 weeks accepted
- Float Requirement: Will follow unit rotation - not first to float
- Weekend Requirement: 4 per 4 weeks (flexible)
Qualifications:
- Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required. **May screen if 1.5 year of CVICU experience in a large facility
- Traveler Experience: Required UNLESS traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.
- Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
- Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, External CPAP/BIPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management
Certifications:
- BLS & ACLS, NIHSS
Preferred:
- Arterial line management, Wound Care/Wound Vac, and Charge Experience

- Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, Client, CAD, Aortic stenosis/regurgitation, Mitral Regurgitation/Stenosis, Endocarditis, Cardiomyopathy, PVD PAD, Vasculitis, Carotid stenosis, Venous stasis, sheath management, sheath removal.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:
- CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO (Watchman procedure), VATS, Carotid endarterectomy, FEM-POP bypass, Amputations, Other vascular surgeries, Cardiac surgeries, Thoracic surgeries, General thoracic surgery, Post cath, Post DCCV, Post electrophysiology procedures, Pacemaker placements.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:
- Arterial lines (not required), Doppler, Bladder scanner, EKG, Femoral sheaths, TR band, Fem-stop, Chest tubes, Epicardial Pacing Wires.

- Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
