Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed

- will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patients
- Target Ratios: 1:6-7
- Shift:NIGHTS; 36 13-26 weeks accepted
- RTO: 7 days MAX; DAYS; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48. 13 weeks accepted
- Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.
- Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.
- Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
- Traveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers.
- Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
- Skills: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required
- Certs: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start. Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert! BLS.
Preferred:
- CPI.
- Charge nurse experience.

PATIENT DIAGNOSES:
- High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.
- Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:
- Daily Census 42.
- General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection. DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication):
- PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
UNIT ORIENTATION:
- 24 hrs (2 shifts)
SCRUBS:
- Navy Blue and white.
