Company Summary: Our client is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a large hospital located in Richmond, Washington.
Position Summary: The ideal candidates shall possess Washington Registered Nurse License, BLS and has at least 1 year of working at NICU.
Responsibilities;
· Monitor the vital signs, oxygen levels, and overall health of premature and critically ill newborns, ensuring timely detection and response to any changes.
· Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and nutritional support as prescribed by neonatologists, and perform necessary medical procedures such as intubation and blood draws.
· Provide emotional support and education to the families of newborns, teaching them how to care for their infants and involving them in the care process.
· Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans for each infant.
· Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient, documenting assessments, treatments, and patient responses to care.
· Implement and adhere to strict infection control protocols to protect vulnerable infants from hospital-acquired infections.
· Willing to travel
Shift hours:
- 4 openings: Full-time, 0.9 FTE (36 working hours per week), night shift
Required qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program (associate degree, minimum)
- Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics within 90 days of hire:
- 1 year of Acute Care Nursing experience in NICU
