Reports To:Nurse Manager or Nurse Director
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient and family support and nursing care within their full scope of practice. This will include participation in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and services for patients, families, and the community. The responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs as guided by an individualized and ongoing plan of care. The RN will work collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements:
Education: Registered Nurse
Experience: Knowledge of current nursing procedures and techniques of patient care necessary. Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to function in a team-based environment.
Licensure: Active New York Nursing License
Certifications: Will obtain BLS during introductory period, ACLS, PALS completed by end of Orientation
Physical Requirements: Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.
