Our client, a reputable organization that drives solution to transform the lives of people with disabilities, people in poverty and people suffering from substance abuse/addition, has an immediate need for a Registered Nurse.
Summary:

This nurse will be responsible for taking vitals, giving injections, phlebotomy as well as patient education and counseling sessions.
The schedule is hybrid and consists of 2 clinic days and 3 telehealth days where they can work from home.
The nurse will be apart of a medical team including a nurse practitioner and a psychiatrist.
Type: HC Contract
Shift: Hybrid Schedule 2 days in clinic, 3 days remote. Mon-Fri 9-5, 1 late shift a week 11-7, rotating Saturdays
Location: NYC
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conducts physical health assessments.
* Manages and administers intramuscular injections and/or supply medications to consumers as prescribed by psychiatrist.
* Provides a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support.
* Provides health management education.
* Communicates with the participant's primary medical provider to coordinate medical treatment.
* When necessary, refers them to appropriate services as determined because of their assessment.
* Advocate on behalf of participants regarding medical treatment as needed.
* Provide training to program staff on disease, treatment options, and new advances in disease management.
* Work with consumers in filling prescriptions and coordinating appointments as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Licensed Registered RN within the state of New York.
* At least 1 year of Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse and/or Primary care experience.
* Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and chemical dependency preferred.
* Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Proficient in MS Word/Excel.
