Body Expressions is a community of helping professionals working to enhance the mental well-being of adolescents, adults, families, and couples in Vancouver and greater Portland. We are trauma-trained, take a non-diet and Health at Every Size approach to food and weight, and help people heal the underlying emotional and relational challenges to their food and body image concerns. We help people develop strong roots for personal growth and welcome people of all sizes, races, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
We are currently seeking a registered dietitian in our Portland, OR & Vancouver, WA offices. The dietitian will provide outpatient individual and group services to clients of Body Expressions, with locations in Portland, OR, and/or Vancouver, WA. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adults, adolescents, and families. Treatment specialties focus on eating disorders and body image concerns and may include: adolescents, family, etc. We are looking for a dietitian who knows their ideal client(s) and specializes in helping one or more types of clients with eating disorders and body image challenges.
Reports to: Owner and/or Clinical Director.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Licensed Dietitian
- Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in dietetics or related fields; and
- Active, unrestricted license in the State of Oregon and/or Washington. A copy must be provided to Body Expressions
- Proficiency in the nutrition care process
- Clinical Dietetic Experience
- Available to hold 20-25 client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Body Expressions.
Other Qualification Preferences:
- Prior experience in a private practice setting.
- At least three years’ experience post-unrestricted licensure.
- Have at least one niche market for dietetic services (i.e., children, teens)
- Knowledge and experience of eating disorders/eating disorder treatment.

Hours:
Work hours and schedule may vary depending on the client and Body expression needs. Hours may include some nights and/or weekends. Dietitians are not guaranteed a minimum number of clients or sessions per week. However, it is expected that Dietitian will be available to hold at least 20 to 25 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Body Expressions. Patient sessions are held in the offices of Body Expressions or virtually through telehealth.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform in-person and telehealth services to clients of Body Expressions, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
- Responsible for the comprehensive nutritional assessment, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention, and nutrition monitoring and evaluation of clients in an outpatient setting
- Provide initial consultation and follow-up appointments for clients
- Assess the client's needs and provide nutrition education or adequate meal plans accordingly.
- Follow current literature surrounding dietary guidelines for assessment, interventions, diagnosis, and monitoring/evaluation procedures.
- Chart client notes within allotted session times.
- Provide meal/snack support as needed for clients
- Meet with therapists and/or dietitians to coordinate care for clients.
- Communicate with the client's medical team as needed/monitor health records to adjust nutrition care accordingly.
Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work are required.
- Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Body Expressions2. Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc., or through the Body Expressions website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients.
- Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, counselor, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
- Timely complete written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents that may be needed or required from time to time by Body Expressions or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week). Keep patient files accurate and up to date.
- Charge and collect payments from clients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Body Expressions.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Body Expressions.
- Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Body Expressions. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.
