Registered Dietitian
Part time, Benefit eligible
The Registered Dietitian responds to all Nutrition referrals generated by EBNHC providers. The Registered Dietitian provides clinical assessments, develops care plans, educates patients and families and provides follow up. The Registered Dietitian also participates in Health Center functions to promote health and wellness and contributes to the management of chronic health conditions in accordance with evidence-based guidelines for medical nutrition therapy. The Registered Dietitian provides individual as well as group counseling. Registered Dietitian’s participate in EBNHC Nutrition Department activities that support clinical excellence. Registered Dietitians are required to maintain both national and state licensures. Clinical competencies are evaluated with the Nutrition Manager.

EDUCATION:
- Master’s Degree required.
- Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Maintains State and National registration/licensure.
- Maintains the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Professional Portfolio.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 1 year as a Registered Dietitian with clinical and public health experience
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Significant interest and the ability to work within the context of the Chronic Disease Management Model, including patient self-management goal setting
- Versed in or willing to quickly develop skills in motivational interviewing and concepts of behavior change
- Evidence of creativity, flexibility and professionalism.
- Ability to work successfully in a peer-to-peer environment.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
