Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation & Pediatrics is a skilled nursing facility located in Haskell, NJ caring for both the pediatric and geriatric populations. We are currently looking for a Part TimeDietician to join our team.
The primary responsibility of the position is to assist in planning, organizing, and developing the operation of the nutritional services department to ensure high quality nutritional care is provided to our residents.

Responsibilities as a Dietician:
- Interview residents and/or family members to obtain nutrition related history.
- Develop diet plans for individual residents based on diet order diet manual guidelines and preferences
- Assist in developing a care plan that identifies the nutritional needs of the resident, the goals to be accomplished for each need and the approaches to achieve the goals
- Assist in developing and maintaining records of the resident’s food preferences and eating locations
- Review and revise care plans and assessments as necessary. Ensure that nutritional progress notes are informative and descriptive
- Assist in planning regular and therapeutic diet menus as prescribed by the attending physician
- Provide resident education on diet therapy being provided upon discharge and nutritional recommendations
- Communicate with staff members from other departments
Requirements:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition
- Must have graduated from an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association
- At least two years experience in an acute care facility
