About the Job
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Consistent with our ScanSource/Intelisys core values, lead, coach, and develop a team of Regional Director(s) and Business Development Managers
- Collaborate closely with partner ecosystem as a key driver of growth and element of our go-to-market strategy
- Strategically and efficiently address business development challenges by developing and executing sound internal processes from the ground up and leading all teams to achieve targets.
- Recommend and acquire the key resources necessary to enable success within the region.
- Work with team to set goals and objectives that lead to quarterly and annual results.
- Provide timely and accurate forecasting of developing opportunities, pipelines, and revenue on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Understand how this function and team integrates into and impacts the rest of the organization and leverage these resources and relationships to help enable success.
- Ensure effective use of resources, and collaborate with counterparts across the company, including sales enablement, marketing, pre-and post-sales support, contracts, and sales engineers to ensure best of breed solutions are brought forward to partners and suppliers
- In region, maintain a high level of understanding of the market landscape, competitive insights, emerging trends, and use knowledge to advance sales strategies and communicate to the field.
- Establish relationships with supplier community, including channel Executives and field-level managers
Reporting Relationships:
- Reports to SVP Sales
- Externally engages with sales partners and suppliers.
- Internally frequently engages with our Solutions Engineering Team, Marketing, Sales Operations, Commissions Management, Supplier Management, and our Human Resources team.
Education / Experience and Other Minimum Qualifications Required:
The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for an individual to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- 10+ years channel sales experience in telecom, cloud, and emerging technologies.
- Experience managing a team of Sales professionals
- College degree preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Process-driven, customer-focused, deadline-oriented, and collaborative, especially within a virtual environment
- Must be able to multi-task and have demonstrated experience succeeding in deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work within a cooperative team environment, as well as perform assignments autonomously
- Superior proficiency in computer usage, especially the Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Excellent e-mail and professional etiquette, with an emphasis on proofreading, and ensuring outgoing communication is precise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially written and verbal communication
- Experience executing and analyzing reports, and making decisions based on data
- Candidate should be based in West region
Travel:
- Willingness to travel at least 15% of the time, on short notice, as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time
- Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation, whether at home or a designated location when needed
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds
Compensation:
Base Range : $150,000-$168,000 and total compensation range $$250,000-$280,000
Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
For non-sales roles and sales roles with a variable component, total compensation reflects both a base salary and variable targets .
