Excelsior Care Group is seeking a Regional Staffing Coordinator to lead and manage facility staffing coordinators across a network of nursing homes. This role is vital in ensuring adequate staffing levels to provide high-quality care while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support staffing coordinators across multiple nursing home facilities in the region.
- Collaborate with facility administrators and HR teams to implement effective staffing strategies.
- Analyze staff-to-patient ratios, turnover rates, and overtime to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with staffing regulations and corporate policies.
- Assist in recruiting key nursing roles, including screening and interviewing candidates.
- Train and mentor staffing coordinators on best practices for scheduling, retention, and compliance.
- Develop and implement employee recognition and retention programs.
- Stay informed on healthcare staffing trends and regulatory updates to refine staffing processes.
- Maintain accurate records of staffing activities, including recruitment, schedules, and certifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 5 years of experience in nursing home staffing.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal staffing regulations for nursing homes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate teams.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of recruitment and retention strategies specific to healthcare.
