Position Overview: CGS ORIS is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join our Industrial Sales Team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the printing, graphic arts, or décor manufacturing industries with a strong background in sales and business development. As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and expanding our presence within your defined territory of the United States and Canada. You will be responsible to sell our complete line of software, hardware, ink, media, and professional services. The ideal candidate will live in the Los Angeles metro area.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets within the defined territory of the US and Canada.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential customers, manufacturers, and dealer sales reps.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive lead generation, cold calling, and networking.
Customer Engagement:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturer sales reps and key decision-makers, including graphic designers, print production managers, and general managers.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and perform product demonstrations and presentations at customer locations, manufacturer/dealer centers, and trade shows to showcase the value and ROI of our solutions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals effectively and in alignment with company policies.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform sales strategies.
- Provide regular feedback to the product development and marketing teams to inform product enhancements and marketing strategies.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our products and services.
Account Management:
- Manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and technical support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare for weekly phone status updates with VP of Sales and provide written monthly report summarizing on target/off target with details on successes and opportunities for development and growth.
- Use Salesforce.com to track sales activities, prepare proposals, manage customer information, and monitor the sales pipeline.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Graphic Arts, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably within the printing, graphic arts, or décor manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a regional role.
- Strong understanding of color management, proofing solutions, and the printing process.
- Strong understanding of packaging, commercial printing, wide format printing, brand owner, and/or décor manufacturing markets.
Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Travel:
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed (up to 75%).
