We are a warehouse distributor selling to the automotive, commercial, and off-the-road industries. We provide tools, equipment, tire repair materials and supplies to these industries. We have been in business since 1939 with locations in Chicago, IL., Durand, WI., St. Louis, MO., and Charlotte, NC.
Job Summary:
Rubber-Inc is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Sales leader to lead and develop our sales team in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. This position “Regional Sales Manager” will report to the Director of Sales. The Regional Sales Manager should demonstrate a high competency level in the following areas: analytics, problem solving, project management, customer service, interpersonal relationships, teamwork, written communication, employee management, quality management, leadership, business acumen, ethics, organizational support, strategic thinking, adaptability, dependability, motivation, and initiative. The candidate must display a proven track record in sales, and the ability to train, develop and run a successful sales team.
The preferred candidate will have outside sales experience in the automotive industry calling on automotive repair facilities and tire dealers. Tire industry knowledge is a plus. Must have excellent communication, math and computer skills. This position requires a substantial amount of travel.
What You’ll Do:
- Direct staffing training & performance evaluations to develop and control the company’s sales. This includes:
- Hiring and managing outside sales reps
- Extensive interaction with all departments
- Reporting and administrative duties
- Training – both product and sales
- Lead, implement and improve the sales process throughout the region.
- New Business Development
- Salesman development
- Opening New Territories
- Coordination of vendor interaction with Rubber Inc sales reps.
- Assist and implement the marketing strategies of the company.
- Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedule and discounts. This would include updating pricing to key accounts.
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed account base expansion.
- Develop and implement company programs, plans, goals, and policies.
- Make sales presentations to key customers with and without company reps.
- Procure materials to support key account programs.
- Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
- Call on customers. This includes:
- Key accounts routinely.
- Run territories when necessary.
- Cold-Calling or New Business Initiatives.
- Assist in finding, negotiating and implementing new products into the company.
- Participation in special projects. This includes but is not limited to: Personnel, Branch Activity, New Territories, New plans and programs.
- Plan and represent the company at customer and industry trade shows.
- Any other duties that are deemed necessary by the company.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. A. preferred.
- 5 years minimum of previous Management experience. Managing a sales team is preferred.
- 5 years outside sales experience
- 3 years’ experience with Budget Control.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Valid Driver’s License and an excellent driving record.
