We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in the Midwest/Upper Plains Region. At our company, we're spearheading transformative projects with more in the pipeline. As a Sales Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying and sourcing land for our initiatives. Building strong relationships with landowners, regulatory bodies, consultants, and stakeholders, you'll be instrumental in selling environmental mitigation credits. This role demands excellent sales skills, organizational prowess, financial acumen, and adept communication.
What You Will Do
Engage effectively with potential customers and clients, fostering meaningful conversations to generate qualified leads and secure sales.
Expand our client base by initiating contact, nurturing prospects, and facilitating client commitment and contract execution.
Monitor and analyze public data to identify potential leads.
Represent the company in interactions with industry groups and external stakeholders.
Utilize Salesforce for comprehensive lead and opportunity tracking.
Cultivate positive business relationships, establish rapport, and schedule meetings.
Ideal Candidates
Proficient in information and database management, especially within Salesforce.
Possess 4-7 years of experience in mitigation bank credit sales, agricultural banking/loans, or environmental services sales.
Willingness to support sales operations with additional duties as required.
Understanding of financial concepts and adept at financial modeling.
Exhibit a strong work ethic, capable of managing multiple priorities and projects efficiently.
Proven ability in solution-oriented problem-solving.
Handle confidential data with discretion.
Detail-oriented with an undergraduate degree, preferably in marketing, finance, economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of practical sales experience.
Location and Travel
This role is ideally based in Columbia, IL, with remote options available. Sales territory covers IL, IN, MO, IA, WI, MN, the Dakotas, and Montana, involving travel.
