Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager will drive sales growth and market penetration by managing existing accounts, identifying new customers, and developing business opportunities. This role involves building relationships with architecture and design firms and providing expertise on commercial roller shade products. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the construction and bidding process, coupled with exceptional relationship-building skills. The position covers the southern region, including FL, AR, MS, and LA, with up to 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Focus on effective territory planning, balancing Architecture & Design (A&D) and distribution calls.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers (architects, designers, contractors, etc.).
- Perform AIA CEU presentations and serve as a technical resource for customers.
- Analyze regional and global competition to optimize sales strategies.
- Manage project workflows and coordinate efforts with internal teams for successful outcomes.
- Use CRM tools and construction reporting systems to track leads and opportunities effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction or window coverings industry.
- Strong prospecting, cold-calling, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Must reside within the region or be willing to relocate.
Working Conditions:
The role involves frequent travel within the assigned territory, client visits, and presentations. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability, passion, and a proactive approach to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.
