Position Overview
A leading $100MM multi-site material handling distributor is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to oversee, lead, and expand their operations in Denver. This role focuses on managing a midsized sales team to drive growth in the manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution sectors. Ideal candidates will have prior sales management experience in the forklift or related material handling industry and a track record of expanding market presence. This role reports directly to the President/CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Management Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, and develop sales team members.
- Manage and organize the schedules, territories, and performance of sales staff.
- Conduct timely performance evaluations and manage discipline as needed.
Sales Leadership:
- Motivate the team to achieve quotas and expand market share.
- Analyze sales data to project growth, profitability, and new market opportunities.
- Assign territories and develop strategic account plans for sales teams.
- Consult with potential customers, identifying products that meet their needs.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to set sales goals and strategies.
- Support accounts receivable and collections when needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a focus on team motivation and development.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven sales and customer service abilities.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in the material handling industry, ideally with expertise in forklift sales and distribution.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
- Incentives: Bonus tied to top-line revenue with no cap
