About the Job
We are seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Regional Sales Manager, who will operate independently from a home office and partially from the office within San Jose, California. This position involves a blend of sales and basic marketing responsibilities, with a primary focus on maintaining existing business relationships and identifying new opportunities within the OEM and distributor accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct visits to OEMs, primarily focusing on existing users.
- Evaluate territory performance, identify target markets, and seize new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive territory sales plan to meet quarterly objectives.
- Manage national and regional accounts, working closely with distribution partners.
- Maintain and update customer database.
- Collaborate in the development of marketing materials and support product promotion through advertising, trade shows, and public relations activities.
- Provide valuable product feedback, growth estimates, and new product recommendations to corporate R&D.
- Manage Independent Sales Representatives and Distributors.
- Offer technical support and assistance to clients.
Key Skills:
- Ability to work independently in both sales and technical capacities.
- Excellent presentation skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Extensive travel within the territory (40% or more of monthly duties).
- Comfortable working in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Demonstrated success in closing new business deals.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, specifically "Pipedrive" for deal and contact management.
Experience:
- Business-to-business sales experience.
- Five or more years of sales experience in the industrial field.
- Background in sensors or electrical components.
- Proven expertise in technical solution-based selling and management-level selling.
- Experience in selling to end-users and/or the distribution marketplace.
