Regional Sales Manager - Electrical Communication Equipment & Parts - Base Salary to 100k/year – Indianapolis, IN
- Founded over 30 years ago, our client is a wholesale distributor of electronic parts and electronic communication equipment (such as LCD displays, noise products and surge products). This company has a very strong backing as they are a subsidiary of the worldwide parent company that has been in business for 70+ years!
- They are currently looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager to join their team. This position will focus on selling into Distributors, and End-Users in verticals such as HVAC, industrial, medical equipment, food service, etc. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the Western Half of the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Handle the entire sales cycle from prospect through close to acquire new business throughout the Western half of the U.S. (up to 25% overnight travel). Position also requires driving to local prospects/clients as well as spend time working from home your home office.
- Maintain, up-sell, and improve working relationships with existing customers to ensure they receive value.
- Conduct product training for Manufacturers Reps and Distributors.
- Prepare sales reports (sales activities, pipeline updates, market updates, etc.) using the company’s proprietary software.
- Possess in-depth product knowledge, conduct demos and handle rejections
- Work with internal team (Customer Service Representative, sales team and management) to achieve sales and booking budget.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of outside sales experience selling electrical communication equipment and electrical parts (preferably LCD displays and noise and surge products) or something very related.
- Prior experience selling to Engineers, Purchasing Managers as well as Distributors and partnering with Manufacturers Reps.
- Experience handling and navigating a large territory with the ability to travel overnight up to 25% throughout the Western half of the US.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation and organizational skills
- Track record of exceeding metrics and quotas
- Proficient with sales management software and CRM systems
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 70k - 100k/year range range plus commissions
- Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with up to 4% match, mileage reimbursement and travel reimbursement
