Since you will be covering the East Coast, we prefer someone in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Maryland, Tennessee, West Virginia, but being in one of these states is not a requirement.
What We Need You to Do
- Expand Our Regional Presence: Identify, develop, and close new business with AM/distribution partners and small OEMs across your assigned region, focusing on growth areas where Tierra’s innovative telematics solutions can transform fleet management.
- Design and Execute a Regional Sales Plan: Create a detailed territory plan covering market size, growth potential, trends, segmentation, competitive landscape, and opportunities. Consistently analyze and adapt to optimize results.
- Drive Performance to Meet Sales Goals: Partner with Tierra America’s management to establish ambitious sales forecasts, track progress, and strategically push beyond targets.
- Facilitate Product Adoption: Schedule and deliver demonstrations, and provide training to prospective and existing clients, building strong, trusted relationships that go beyond transactions.
- Provide Market Insight for Product Innovation: Collaborate with our Product team to share critical customer feedback and inform product development that truly meets market needs.
- Support Marketing and Customer Success Initiatives: Partner with marketing and support teams to ensure Tierra’s message and resources resonate with the market, equipping customers with the best possible materials.
- Represent Tierra America at Trade Shows: Attend and actively participate in trade shows and industry events to promote Tierra’s solutions, and stay updated on the latest market trends and competitive developments.
What You Bring to the Table
- Proven Sales Success: 3-5 years of successful sales experience, with a record of building partnerships and achieving (or exceeding) targets.
- Tech-Savvy with Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with telematics, fleet management, or asset management within sectors like construction is preferred.
- Independent and Results-Driven: Highly motivated, able to thrive with minimal supervision, and driven to exceed sales goals in a competitive environment.
- Relationship Builder and Negotiator: Demonstrated ability to forge lasting relationships with key partners and clients, with exceptional negotiation skills.
- Organized and Strategic: Strong organizational and planning skills, with an ability to manage time effectively and develop comprehensive sales strategies.
- Excellent Communicator: Skilled in articulating proposals and reports, presenting ideas persuasively, and fostering open communication with clients and internal teams.
- Travel-Ready: Willing and able to travel 50-75% to build Tierra America’s regional presence.
