About the Job
Your Role
Develop and implement territory sales plan to meet or exceed annual sales objectives
Closely manage the sales process from identifying to qualifying to closing within your territory
Mine existing and prospective clients for referral business
Develop COI relationships inside of the territory
Collaborate and partner with our Retirement Plan Lead Advisor
Establish and maintain good customer relations, with both internal and external clients
Continually prospect to refill the pipeline utilizing Sales Force to track activities, updates and reporting
Prepare and give presentations effectively to external customers across all levels from staff to C-suite executives
Attend industry and / or relevant targeted prospect events
Develop, participate and present marketing materials
Produce and manage accurate forecasts
Travel throughout territory to meet with prospects
Your Experience
5 + years of related sales experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred
FINRA Series 65 required
Previous experience selling Retirement Plan Services or Benefits to Business Owners, Committees, Plan Sponsors or C level executives
General Understanding of Qualified Retirement Plan and ERISA knowledge
Proven track record of successfully selling, presenting, prospecting and territory management
Organized in thoughts and actions; thrives on high volume and a fast pace
Deep understanding of the market and customer acquisition process
Self-starter, works independently and accomplishes goals with minimal direction and supervision
Thrives in a competitive sales environment; motivated by pressure and goals
Demonstrated cold calling sales ability, with assertive, positive and persistent style
Strong communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate through all mediums (verbal, listening, written)
Possesses business maturity, is personally impactful, and demonstrates behavior consistent with Brighton Jones values
Effectively executes business development/marketing strategy to meet defined client and revenue goals
Baseline proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) required and Salesforce experience preferred
